Eastside Pathways Community-Wide Launch at the Strawberry Festival
The first part of the launch plan will be a communications effort on the part of Eastside Pathways and its partners. This will include public relations pieces in local media (in as many languages as possible) as well as supporting stories and announcements in the newsletters and other channels of our partners. This will be the first example of a permanent, network-wide communications capacity that will work across the partnership to achieve our shared goals.
The second component will be the release of the Eastside Pathways baseline report. This will explain to the community why this collective effort is important to improving results for our kids as well as introducing the first instance of our annual scorecard, giving the status of our key shared metrics.
Finally, Eastside Pathways will expand community awareness of the partnership by hosting several booths at the Eastside Heritage Center’s Strawberry Festival at Crossroads Park June 23 & 24, 2012.
EP’s participation in this event will raise awareness of the EP collaboration, promote EP’s partner organizations as a group working together to support children cradle to career, and create visibility for the Let’s Read campaign.
Booths will be organized by theme and will include program information and staffing from partners. A scavenger hunt will incent children and their parents to move between EP’s booths to learn about programs offered in Bellevue. Youth completing the scavenger hunt will receive a book.
